Welcome! Moors Wood is a small private woodland owned and managed by Sarah and Ian Blenkinsop as a nature reserve and as a sustainably managed source of various wood products.

Sarah is a freelance Environmental Educator, Lecturer and Forest School Leader. Based at her own site at Moors Wood, Sarah provides fun natural/recycled craft workshops; play or storytelling sessions; eco themed parties; workshops on food preservation, setting up an organic garden, setting up a composting area or keeping chickens; or training courses in various woodcraft and play skills. These services are available for adults and/or children. Sarah is also very happy to come to you and deliver any of the above, or to give talks to groups.

Visit to Moors Wood by John "Compost" Cossham

Today I was delighted and privileged to have a friend visit Moors Wood. who is one of my composting and zero waste heros. John Cossham is well known in low carbon/zero waste/composting/sustainability fields as an absolute champion waste reducer. He has appeared on TV, radio and in print and is an excellent example of how we could all reduce our carbon footprint on this planet.

He was on a trip around the West Country visiting various other friends and going to meetings and talks and I was lucky enough to catch him for a morning out of his busy schedule :)

We went down into the wood where we  had a great time talking about composting and recycling and Moors Wood and all sorts :)

It was wonderful to catch up with you again John, I do hope we meet up again soon :)
